Grosvenor quite rightly keeps on winning award after award
due to a few simple principles, the best quality plants
and products presented in wonderful surroundings with excellent
help and advice from specialists.
As the centre was once again expanding, the decision was
made to upgrade the telephone
system, computer network and epos systems. For our part,
Check Communications installed external Category
5 data outlets for computers and network tills, standard
fare for our engineers.
The greatest difference however was the introduction of
an Ascotel digital telephone system with fully integrated
DECT
handsets that allow staff to roam freely around the centre,
but still stay in touch with their colleagues. In fact Direct
Dial IN (DDI), allows customers to ring the department they
choose which will probably be one of the many product specialists
anywhere in the garden centre grounds.
ISDN extensions from the Ascotel provide dial up Internet
and credit card electronic receipt transfer over night,
and even video conferencing, while an integrated
NT voicemail platform provides automated messages for
everything from planting advice to opening Times.
