SGS Redwood The SGS Group of companies are the world leaders in inspection, testing and verification, and operate in more than 140 countries through their network of subsidiaries and laboratories.

The core activities of the SGS Group includes inspection and monitoring services for international trade in agricultural and mineral products, petroleum & petrochemicals.

Check Communications provide digital telephone systems and support country wide for SGS, from as far north as Aberdeen, to Purfleet in the South East.

The head office in Ellesmere Port has state of the art digital telephony from Ascom, with an NT voicemail platform for out of hours calls and information.

Following a telephone efficiency survey from Check Communications, the company was able to install a new digital Ascotel platform that more than halved the amount of lines rented, providing significant savings and increased efficiency.

As the company have expanded and taken on other buildings, the system has expanded using QSIG links so that the operator function and voicemail could be centralised, creating further efficiency savings.
